Applying geography targeting to line items has been upgraded:
It is possible to target a country and exclude regions, states or cities within that country.
There are separate buttons for targeting and excluding on the left-hand side of the targeting picker, making it easier and clearer to input selections.
If a country is added after one of it’s regions or cities was already added, the selection is replaced to avoid conflicts. Eg. add ‘Athens’ then add ‘Greece’ results in only ‘Greece’ being selected. The same applies in the reverse order.
Geography targeting pricing is now flexible, with different CPM loading rates for different geography segments possible. Eg. ‘Greece’ can cost $0.25, while ‘Athens’ costs $0.45. limited availaibility Geo pricing flexibility is only available via support ticket and database migration for the moment, with the UI portion of it to be delivered in coming months.
Targeting pricing logic has been updated overall to prioritise keeping budget and total cost consistent. For all targeting prices, when targeting loading price is applied, the total line item cost is maintained and the impressions goals is reduced to match the new rate price. This only applies to CPM line items.
